Maaya Dissapoints, Mushimasmingili to the Rescue

Diving today began at 07:00 this morning with a dip at Maaya Thila. With almost no current and average visibility we experienced a very poor fish life in Maaya Thila, which generally requires some current to see a good amount of sea life.

For the second dive we moved to Mushimasmingili Thila – Fish Head, hoping for a better current and more aquatic life. At 11:30 with medium / strong current and good visibility we came across one guitar shark, 2 gray reefs and lots of other reef fishes.

Mantas and More

Dhonkalo Thila, Manta Point was the third dive site, and we arrived with medium current and roughly 20 meters visibility which led us to see 4 mantas.

Our final anchorage for the day is near Maalhos Island and tomorrow we will dive Maalhos Thia (Blue Caves) and plan to repeat Dhonkao Thila.
