Black Pearl divers come across 10 Manta Rays at Dhonkalo Thila, north Ari atoll
While Adventurer 2 heads out for the south Ari atoll, the Black Pearl is still diving in the north Ari atoll.
Beginning our Day
This morning we began the first dive at Dega Thila, which was a nice and easy dive under calm conditions, and this gave us a chance to explore this stunning reef very closely while swimming through the overhangs and getting close-ups of different species of sponges and soft corals. Small fish like Anthias and many others were densely populated around the top reef and finding a frog fish was the highlight.

Mantas Galore
Our second dive lead us to Dhonkalo Thila. We weren’t expecting to see that many mantas due to the slowing current but we saw more than 10 manta rays, and we spent our dive captured in their awe.
Maaya Thila Strikes Again with Superb Night Dive
After Dhonkalo Thila we moved to Maayafushi and anchored in the lagoon and did Maaya Thila as a night dive. In short, it was all the best of Maaya Thila. White tip reef sharks, Sea Turtles, Moray eels, Sting rays and many smaller stuff too.
