Black Pearl performs 3 top dives at Guraidhoo Region.
Sharks for Breakfast
We woke up at 6.30 and began our first dive at Embudhu Express. With almost no current and average visibility, we began next to the corner and swam towards the entrance of the channel. At the entrance of the channel were 4 gray reef sharks, and a couple white tip reef sharks, a napoleon wrasse and 2 eagle rays.
After spending some time at the entrance before the channel, we turned around and headed near the reef to continue diving the channel.
Moving South to Gurairdhoo
Moving further south for the second dive in the Gurairdhoo Region landed us at Medhu Faru around 11:30. The current remained unchanged, and we began the dive at the outer reef and swam to the corner. A very big jack fish, 2 white tip reef sharks, a few tuna and a school of Mobula Ray were among the highlights.

Kandooma Leaves Divers Breathless
For the third dive we sailed to Kandooma Thila where there was a very mild incoming current. We jumped to the eastern tip and hovered around the thila from the up current watching a huge school of jack fish. Later, we swam to the gray reef shark cleaning station and we saw 3 gray reef sharks and they were really making a show for us. After a while, when we had 5 minutes remaining to decompress, we started to come up, but it was difficult to leave after seeing such a great spectacle.
The day ended with 3 fine selections of dive sites, especially since we saw larger pelagic without the presence of stronger current. Our final anchorage is near Guraidhoo.
