Dega Thila; The smaller stuff.
MV Sting Ray’s present location is at north Ari atoll, Maayafushi lagoon.
Our first dive was at Panettone ( Kahlahandhi Kandu). The current was running out of the channel from east to west, so we started the dive inside the channel after 35 minutes of dive time the current direction changed from west to east incoming.
This made the current unstable and didn’t lead to a greater fish life.
Second dive was at Dega Thila. As mentioned on earlier blogs this pinnacle has one unique coral formation in north Ari atoll. This is also the mecca for a wide varieties of small stuff; Frog Fish, Leaf Fish and different species of Nudibranches. Today’s surprise was a Frog Fish and a Leaf Fish.

Third dive was at Dhonkalo Thila, (Manta Point) we were in the water at 14:00 and the current was slight but by the end of the dive it was strong. We saw 9 Manta’s for about 55 minutes giving us the graceful show.
Fourth dive was night dive at Maaya Thila. As usual the fish life was great with White Tip Sharks hunting scene.
