MV Sting Ray began her diving trip of the season on the 27th June 2009, Saturday with 11 Italians and 6 Germans , covering the dive sites on north Male’ atoll, south Male’ atoll, Ari atoll and Rasdhoo atoll.
On arrival all divers were briefed and a heads-up were given regarding diving on southwest monsoon, the weather on top side and underwater, the visibility, fish life and most importantly the current.
Top side and Underwater
During the week the weather remained calm while occasional monsoon showers and thunder storms bringing rough seas at times. However the week’s diving turns out to be an excellent dive trip both on weather and fish life.
The current remained unstable in all the atolls, flowing both in and out bringing poor visibility at the eastern side while clear visibility on the western side of all the atolls.
