Stingray Liveaboard Diving
Stingray Liveaboard safaris offer 2 or 3 dives each day to their divers, plus one night dive each week. There is an additional boat, known as a Dhoni, that accompanies the Stingray throughout the scuba diving adventure, and all SCUBA equipment is kept on the Dhoni. All dives are also taken from the dive Dhoni, making your time on board Stingray as comfortable as possible, since you don’t have to carry your dive equipment back and forward all the time. Stingray Liveaboard is constantly visiting different dive sites around the Maldives, and the ones you visit will depend largely on which season you visit in. There are some months when visibility is better on the Eastern side of the Maldives, and other months when the water on the other side is more suitable for diving. The Stingray Liveaboard crew will be ready to take you to the best dive sites whenever you visit. They are all extremely experienced and knowledgeable and will ensure that by the time you leave the Maldives, you will also be a lot more knowledgeable.
Stingray Scuba Divers usually have a great diving experience in the Maldives and among the animals they report seeing while underwater are the Whale Shark, the Manta Ray, the Eagle Ray, the Stingray, Moray Eels, Lion Fish and many other smaller reef creatures.
Stingray Liveaboard has nine guest cabins, each with their own en-suite hot water bathroom, air-conditioning and exterior windows. There is a comfortable lounge area with plenty of books, board games and playing cards for relaxing with fellow guests after a day’s diving. Meals aboard Stingray are served buffet-style and include a tasty combination of Asian and Western flavors and cooking styles. Fresh fish is often a major feature of the Stingray‘s meals, caught the very same day from the ocean, all prepared by the excellent Sri Lankan chef.
Stingray Liveaboard Activities
Apart from scuba diving, there are several other activities you can enjoy while aboard Stingray, including fishing, island visits, snorkelling, island picnics and shopping trips in Male, so you won’t spend the entire holiday diving, unless you want to.
