Kuredhu Kandu dive site is a great dive location in the Maldives, famous for its diverse marine life and abundance of coral formations. Suitable for novice and experienced scuba divers, Kuredhu Kandu offers many overhangs, and is in fact a corner dive site, with a shallow channel round one side and a steep dropoff on the outside.
Grey reef sharks tend to patrol the Maldivian waters at this top scuba dive location, so it attracts many safari and dive enthusiasts, hoping to catch a glimpse of a grey reef shark. Moreover, the channel entrance is usually teaming with schools of fish like the clown fish, fire fish and even eagle rays and barracudas tend to get into the mix.
If the lively Maldives marine life is not enough of an attraction, the hard and soft coral formations at Kuredhu Kandu dive site are simply dazzling. The natural topography boasts sandy beds and many overhangs amongst the colorful backdrop of Kuredhu Kandu.
